Beards for Beasts Parade and Facial Hair Competition

The elaborate intricacies of the growing population of facial hair aficionados’ community is as fascinating as the complex designs that take home first place in their annual competitions. Just Google “Facial Hair Competition,” and see how long it takes you to realize you’ve been staring at beards. On October 5th, starting at Dee’s Cafe in the South Side, the Steel City Beard and Mustache Club presents Beards for Beasts – Pittsburgh’s first facial hair competition and “1/10thK” parade to benefit the Animal Rescue League.

Bring a dog or cat toy to Dee’s for a chance to win some great raffle prizes. Beards can REGISTER HERE

 

The Competition:

 

Honors will be awarded in the following categories-

 

Full Beard Natural
-3″ or less
-9″ or less
-Longer than 9″

 

Full Beard Styled
-Groomed
-Freestyle

 

Partial Beard
-Natural
-Freestyle

 

Mustache
-Natural
-Styled

 

Fake (anything goes)
-Most realistic
-Most creative

 

Special recognition and prize for the Beard Club with the most competitors.

 

Category details: Acceptable styling aides include waxes, hair sprays and hair dyes/paints of any color only. NO hair pins, clips, wires, rubber bands and the like.
(Categories are subject to change depending on registration count.)
