We’re here to tell you about an important cause we wholeheartedly support. The Other Men Project: Portraits of Transmen will be exhibiting from March 10-24th at the Brew House in the South Side. The project has increased from the first show in 2009 with 29 prints, to the current exhibit at 65. Gallery hours are Wednesdays-Saturdays – 6-8pm, March 10-24th. If you haven’t been to an exhibit at the Brew House yet, we highly recommend it – great space!

This project encourages the public to challenge transphobia and celebrate those who have chosen to embrace who they truly are. The organizers will also be hosting several special events over the duration of the two week exhibition, so keep an eye on their blog and their Twitter account for more deets. So far, programming includes:

March 10th, Saturday – 6-9pm, Opening Reception

March 14th, Wednesday – 6-8pm, Trans 101

March 17th, Saturday – 6-8pm, Open Mic: Author & Poet Night

March 24th, Saturday – 6-8pm, “Gender Redesigner” film screening, plus Q&A with fAe GIbson
