Assemble, a gallery on Penn Avenue’s arts corridor in Garfield, is hosting a unique fundraiser this evening at Shadow Lounge. Bid on a chance to learn a new skill from a variety of talented Pittsburgh artists, musicians and craftsmen while supporting a great space! Assemble is a community space for arts and technology and touts themselves as a place for creation. It was founded on the concepts of sustainability, community, science, architecture, new media, and lowtech/hightech art. They often host interactive, hands-on art-focused events that both engage and inspire attendees. It’s always one of our favorite stops during Unblurred! MakerDate is an auction pairing skill seekers with opportunities to learn something new and will also feature a raffle of of original art and handmade crafts.

Join emcee Davon Magwood as he hosts an evening of entertainment, featuring deejay Jay Malls of Title Town, and a live performance by Mrs. Paintbrush from Grand Buffet. We saw Mrs. Paintbrush a while back at The Shop and were highly entertained by his creative mix of music and performance, as he used a head lamp to make his act quite entertaining.
