Atrocity 5 Year Anniversary Exhibition
The Atrocity Exhibition is Morose & Macabre‘s annual cavalcade of the beautiful and grotesque, brought to life by a cabaret of bizarre entertainers, artists, and artisans. This year marks the event’s 5th year anniversary, so they’re going all out to celebrate the special occasion. This group of folks finds beauty in the more creepy, bizarre and morbid aspects of life. What scares some delights this unique group of art and performance lovers/makers. This collective makes everything from traditional paintings, to dolls, puppets, jewelry and film, as well as sideshow performances, burlesque and more. The Atrocity Exhibition was Morose & Macabre’s “first independent event that houses sideshow entertainers and showcases our fellow dark artists and artisans.”
Morose & Macabre blossomed from a collaborative friendship in which two people continually one-upped each other with their creations. They eventually conceived The House of Oddities and took their show on the road, traveling south to showcase their art in a variety of settings and spread their love of the odd and grotesque to anyone who was curious.
